Pro-social change and yoga

A force for positive, pro-social change in our world is meditation, yoga and mindfulness. When we engage this force and join together, we can craft a rapid, effective and peaceful evolution (revolutions just go round and round). Now is the time to come together.

Body

In some old yoga texts it talks about yoga practice helping you to realise how disgusting the body is, a bag of mucous and nastiness. You find the same view in ascendency oriented patriarchal religions.

I have little interest in this view.

Quite the opposite, I studied Biology and Ecology and consider the body and the world to be a relentless web of wonder. Whenever I walk or move, when I sit still and feel deep into this temporary vortex of organic recycling, all I find is wonder and awe.

Awe is a fabulous emotion, one that takes the mind into a place of deep peace. That is just another reason I am into the evolution of yoga, to let go of the inanity of the past and find a new way, a bright new way of envisioning and living in this miracle of co-evolution, the body.

If you’re interested in developing an intelligent breath rich yoga practice, please feel free to reach out to me.

Mind

I teach what I call BioHack, rooted in the explanations of biology, psychology and ecology, whilst utilising the powerful traditions of yoga, meditation and mindfulness.

My sole interest is helping you be awesome. Why?

Because I want to live on a planet full of mutually empowered people. It’s so much more fun. A planet full of people whose minds are operating on feudal operating systems of victim, oppressor and rescuer is disempowering and tedious.

If you need a rescuer (saviour) then you have to have those to be rescued, the victims. People love being victims, all the ills of the world can then be excused, it’s not their fault! But victims need oppressors.

Oppressors need victims to be oppressors. Everyone is bound in suffering. This triangle of disempowerment has to be broken. It is broken through using the BioHack of meditative awareness and finding the root energies of these three disempowered mind states.

This is part of our work here on recently post-feudal planet earth. If you haven’t got an accelerated meditation practice, please feel free to reach out to me.

Heart

Love is everything.

If you have no love you are lost, in my view.

Yet we are all learning to love.

Every single one of us has inherited dodgy maps of love from our parents and cultures.

Maps of conditional love – I will love you if you do this.. You will only love me if I do this..

Accountancy love – I did this for you, now you owe me this. Count the strokes you get and give back the same. Accountancy lovers live in debt and fear of debt.

Taboo love – we can get along and love each other as long as we don’t talk about that! What? Whatever the taboo areas are that you both agree should remain hidden in your relationship.

Most conditional, accountancy and taboo lovers end up rubbing alongside each other. This is partly why so many marriages and relationships end up pretty much sex free within seven years.

Do you want more?

So do I. So Let’s learn to love together and explore our fears and vulnerabilities, our areas of unlove and find out how to truly love. Let’s hack our hearts and begin….

Energy

The cosmos is energy. We are life energy. Look at five year olds, they have so much energy.

What happens when we exhaust ourselves and crash into depletion?

We have learnt to stop playing, to cease creative exploration and live in fear.

The biggest killers of life energy flow are fear, anxiety, shame and guilt.

Interestingly these are the shadow emotions of the base three energy centres of the body-mind.

What to do?
Give priority to your yogic discipline. Do these six things… yes, just six things.

1) Work with the kriyas and breath-work that I teach.

2) Eat a moderate diet with intermittent fasting.

3) Practice at least 20 minutes of meditation each day.

4) Resolve the shadow emotions of fear, shame and guilt. (Come do this with me on retreat)

5) Do a sound relaxation practice before sleeping

6) Practice your intelligent body based discipline of breath and awareness rich, power focused, yoga going.

End result, you will rejuvenate, feel sexier, younger, and have vast amounts of energy.

Ecology

Today I was reading in the New Scientist about fish in N. American lakes whose brains are full of anti-depressants.

Why?

Because America is such a tough place to live that loads of its people are on anti-depressants. They get peed out and go down the loo. There are so many of them that they go through the sewage works and into the lakes. Masses of drugs then fill the fish. Are the fish happy?

Would you be happy having you body filled with unknown drugs?

Well that water goes into the water works and gets turned into drinking water and…

What to do?
Give priority to your yogic discipline. Do these seven things… yes, just eight things.

1) Work with the kriyas and breath-work that I teach.

2) Eat a moderate diet with intermittent fasting.  I will show you how to do this.

3) Practice at least 20 minutes of BioHack meditation each day. I will show you how to do this.

4) Resolve the shadow emotions of fear, shame and guilt. Come do this with me on retreat.

5) Do a sound relaxation practice before sleeping. I will show you how to do this.

6) Practice your intelligent body based discipline of breath and awareness rich, power focused, yoga going. I will show you how to do this.

End result, you will rejuvenate, feel sexier, younger, and have vast amounts of energy and no longer feel depressed. Not only that but you will be changing the world for the better with your awesome creative energy and having a fun filled life.

Not only that, the fish will be happy!

7) Read Protecting Planet Earth, humanity, diversity, ecology available on my website.
