Yogasara Applied Anatomy & Physiology & Hands on Facilitation Intensive

The powerful sensory information of hands on work has to be well informed to invite depth and clarity of practice

We will be working with what I call facilitation (some call adjustments) as a powerful mode of teaching through sensory information. Obviously we will pay deep attention to boundary, consent, trauma related issues and quality of touch.

This course is very experiential – we will be working with hands on work rooted in an understanding of applied anatomy. The anatomical training will be delivered each morning and the body-reading and hands on work in the afternoon.

You will learn…

  • Hands on facilitation for different body types
  • Basic structural bodywork techniques
  • Safe and skilful facilitation in a range of postures
  • Some ‘energetic’ adjustments using Reflex & Acupuncture points rooted in our training from Chinese Medicine – Chris (Shiatsu), Sarah (Reflexology)
  • To develop verbal skills and cues in balance with hands on technique for use in a led class
  • Triage and prioritisation for hands on facilitation while teaching a led class
  • How to enhance students ability and capacity to fully breath in practice
  • To get you off your mat, into the room and find the confidence to give your students loving, intelligent & helpful facilitation, while maintaining healthy boundaries

Chris is without doubt one of the most knowledgeable and authentic yoga teachers around. He transmits a wealth of information through his insightful teaching which is powerful, yet down-to-earth and practical and helps to de-bunk many of the myths and superstitions that surround Yoga. Chris would be my go-to for help and support as a Senior teacher.
